Reciprocity [re-sə-ˈprä-s(ə-)tē\]: A relationship between people involving the equivalent exchange of favors, services, goods, or acts of kindness, carried out of goodwill.

Especially an equal exchange of advantages or benefits that are not available to everyone.

The law of reciprocity can be summed up by stating the golden decree: do unto others, as you would have others do unto you.

However, it goes one-step beyond this. The law states that whatever you do will be returned back to you. In other words, if you want to create prosperity for yourself, help someone else become rich.

The act of reciprocity reveals that if you want friends then it is essential to be friendly. Alternatively, if you are a cynic one day you will be called down. Reciprocity also states that you cannot give without receiving back, good or bad.
